attenuationvoltage

Forward mode: enter Vin, R1, R2 -get Vout, current and dissipation in each resistor. Reverse design mode: enter the source and target voltages -the app finds the nearest standard E12/E24 pair and shows the Vout you'd actually get. A live schematic updates as you type.

How to use

Two modes — Forward and Reverse design.

What it's for

Forward calculation plus reverse design to standard E12/E24 pairs, with a live schematic.

You enter

  • Forward: input voltage Vin, R1 and R2.
  • Reverse: the source you have and the output you want.

You get

  • Forward: output voltage, total current, dissipation in each resistor, division ratio, total resistance.
  • Reverse: the closest standard E12/E24 pair and the Vout you would actually get.

Tips & warnings

  • A schematic is drawn live from your values and redraws as you change them.
